 Energy Medicine refers to therapies that address what is happening to the body’s energy system and work to bring balance to the energy flows in the body. Historically, energy has had different names in the body. In Chinese Medicine it is called "qi", in Naturopathic medicine it is called the "vital force", and in many other traditions it is referred to as the body’s innate healing potential. Whatever the name, therapies that work directly with the energy body are forms of Energy Medicine.
Dr. Hodsdon utilizes energy medicine in different forms to support the body in healing. She utilizes an 'energetic exam' to perceive how energy is moving in the body and uses that information along with physical exams, laboratory findings and medical history to understand the cause of the health concern. The physical body is a reflection of what is happening in the energy field. By working with the energy field, healing at the core of the body can occur.
